Square Dance Kalamazoo (SDK) is an organization reviving the marriage of old time music and dance in Southwest Michigan. Dances are typically held on the 2nd Monday of each month. Check our Calendar page for the location.
SDK was co-founded in January of 2011 by Marilyn Branch, Sam Cooper and Richard Whitfield. We've hosted national talent and local favorites each month since our inaugural dance with the Foghorn Stringband! SDK is currently run by a volunteer board of dancers, players and old time music enthusiasts. Current board members include Sam Herman, Mike Clark, Nate Strong, Dan Denov, Carol Steiner, Daniel Davis, Jeff Brazda, Jill Plesko, Sarah Drumm, Sam Cooper, Richard Whitfield and Marilyn Branch. Our graphics are designed by Flat Mountain Press.
